Anastasia Markov a rising force in the Boston Music scene playing regularly at venues such as TT The Bears, The Middle East Corner, PA's Lounge, Club Passim, and more. She's also a radio personality for WEMF.

She created the character of Anastasia Markov when she started LARPing and kept the name when she started performing in real life. Anastasia discovered her love for songwriting and performing while role-playing and kept the name as an homage to her weird musical roots, and because the name is BA. She also attributes her love for story telling and writing songs from other people's point of view to her role-playing roots.

She draws musical inspiration from bands such as the Mountain Goats, Of Monsters and Men, Wild Child, Noah and the Whale, Regina Spektor, Tallest Man on Earth, and so many more. She is often compared to Kimya Dawson and Lily Allen.

Anastasia is in a long distance band with her friend Hunter Nelson from Nashville called Royal Bloodlines. They see each other every once in a while and write and record songs long distance.

She released two demos in 2013, quickly followed by her first EP "Suicide Seating" later that year that she co-wrote with Hunter Nelson during her time in Nashville. Her sophamore EP, "2 AM" came out 6/24/15.
