The Pain album started off with the song "Pain" inspired by Johnny Cash's cover of NIN's "Hurt". The ball kept rolling on to other songs and other stories that the Prince wanted to tell. There are so many kinds of pain suffered; relationships, death, political abuse, and emotional abuse. Prince of Cats really wanted to bring those emotions out in his debut album in a beautiful, epic way.
