From January/1995 on, this band has been going through the path that must be crossed over. Since the beginning of the local scene in Belo Horizonte, state capital of Minas Gerais, most Eminence members have been riding along the underground ways. After several concerts throughout the state and with a large number of contacts in Brazil as well as abroad, the band got qualified to participate in a top countrywide music contest, SKOL ROCK. Representatives from MTV, Warner Music and major magazines and newspapers from the show business gave the band the first place in the state and third in the national key ranking, which caused great impact. That is, considering the odds for a heavy and aggressive band among the majority of pop, blues and rock'n'roll bands that always get special attention from the mass media in Brazil.
