Partners in Rhyme formed in Indianapolis in 2004. It consists of two emcees, Prospect and Complex, both of whom have their own diverse style and influences. Hip-Hop was always a major part of their lives so they decided to come together and create great music. Both emcees went through many of life's trials and tribulations at an early age and found a spiritual outlet through hip-hop. Hip-Hop is not something that can just be heard, tasted, or touched. It goes further into the spirit. This is why they decided to name their debut album Unification. They are unifying their talent and by doing so unifying those around them with their gift. It has been a struggle at times to break through in a city that tries to imitate southern rappers. Only a few groups in Indianapolis have managed to stick around due to the congested atmosphere of materialistic rap. Bottom line: they make good music and plan on doing so for as long as possible.
