Michigan may be 500 miles north of Nashville, but there is no shortage of Honky Tonks, Juke Joints, and Dive Bars. While Cornbread and Ice Tea may have cut their teeth in these places, their true passion for classic country music was instilled by their parents many years earlier. The silence in their childhood homes was constantly replaced with the sweet sounds of classic country music. Growing up with that music in their ear certainly influenced how they play and write as evidenced by this album.
