“Hello My Friend” is Jason Carter’s debut album. It is on the Universal Sounds of America label and will release April 17th 2006.
Jason’s family background is filled with outstanding musicians. His grandfather was an accomplished fiddle player. Jason’s father was signed to a recording contract with Bobby Smith Productions in Macon, GA in 1971. Wayne Cochran’s “Last Kiss” was a big hit for Bobby Smith Productions in the sixties. Jason’s “Uncle Judd” was known as the best mandolin player in north Alabama. His Uncle was offered a job traveling with the Blue Grass Legend, Bill Monroe, but elected to stay in Alabama to continue his career with the “Rhythm Rangers”. Also, Sonny James had the classic hit “Young Love” in the ‘50’s, and is a distant cousin of Jason’s.
Although Jason’s family background lies in bluegrass and country, Jason is a mixture of Southern Rock, Pop and Soul.
