Lexincrypt
Established in 1999, Lexincrypt is the creation of its sole member j.cameron. Heavily inspired by the concepts of death, the confusion of suicide, unfulfilled matters of life, and every other aspect in relation to the aforementioned, Lexincrypt has delivered a very personal and anguished sound, rife with twisted samples, brutal vocals, and personal lyrics that invoke a realistic darkness into disturbing array of sounds. In 2002, Lexincrypt's debut album 'My Sepulture' was unleashed on the industrial community, earning high praise for its dark, raw, and dense sound. A few years later, Lexincrypt's followup album 'This Descent' further showcased its well-balanced style of mixing aggression and depression while still evolving as a project. Soon before the release of 'This Descent' in 2005, Lexincrypt was declared a dead project as other life matters were deemed more important than music and the possibility of writing music ever again seemed diminutive at best. After a five year hiatus, Lexincrypt returns as a member of the Crunch Pod roster to bring what is certainly its most personal and anguished material to date with the new album 'Of Unsound Mind'. As previously stated, past Lexincrypt material had an unwavering commitment to maintaining a balance of aggression and depression; however, events of the recent past -- along with the state of mind induced by said events -- has all but destroyed that balance. Subsequently, the focus of Lexincrypt has shifted strongly toward the side of depression, paving the way for slower songs that most Lexincrypt fans have claimed as a preference since the beginning.
