The idea for this album came about while I was trying to finish another album back in June. Paul, my co-writer/producer and I started playing around with some musical ideas to give our minds a break from the CD we were working on. As we played around, we started coming up with arrangements that were influenced by jazz and bossa nova. It was so much fun that we ended up creating arrangements for 10 songs. I honestly didn't think we would get this album finished in time for this Christmas, but we did! We found the studio, the musicians, and the magic to get it all together. It happened on a hot summer weekend in August. It was such a great experience to be creating music live, in a room with amazing musicians ...altogether, the way it should be:) I hope you enjoy these renditions as much as we do.
